Host your own CEU-earning event with full control over planning, registration, and promotion while GaRID manages CEU processing and required documentation. This option offers flexibility for presenters and organizations who prefer to design and run their workshops independently.

Your Responsibilities

  • Submit the CEU application at least 30 days before your event.

  • Manage participant registration and send the final attendee list to GaRID on the day of the event.

  • Create and distribute your promotional materials (GaRID will send one promotional email to members on your behalf.)
     

GaRID’s Responsibilities

  • Process CEUs (allow up to 60 days for processing)

  • Issue Certificates of Completion

  • Provide Presenter Evaluations
     

Pricing

  • CEU processing fees:

    • 1-day workshop: $20 (members) / $40 (non-members)

    • Multi-day workshop: $40 (members) / $80 (non-members)

  • You set your own registration rates

  • You keep all proceeds

Public Speaking Event

INSTRUCTOR CEU REQUEST PROCESS

For individuals independently hosting a GaRID-approved workshop or conference.
 

STEP 1 —
Pay the CEU Processing Fee

Before submitting your CEU application, instructors must log into the GARID Portal to pay the CEU processing fee. 

STEP 2 —
Submit the CEU Application Form

Fill out the online CEU application.
GaRID requests all applications at least 30 days before the event date.

STEP 3 —
Application Review & Approval

The GaRID CMP Team will review your submission and respond within one week with:

  • an approval,

  • a request for revisions, or

  • a request for additional information.

If you do not receive a response within one week, email CMP@GaRID.org for an update.
 

STEP 4 —
Host Your Workshop or Event

Once approved, proceed with your workshop or conference as planned.
You manage:

  • registration,

  • promotional materials, and

  • providing the link for attendee self-reporting after the event.
     

STEP 5 —
Submit the Final Attendee List for CEU Processing

On the day of the event, send the final registration list to GaRID for CEU processing.

ATTENDEE INSTRUCTIONS
(PROVIDE THIS TO PARTICIPANTS)

  • Attendees must complete their evaluation and CEU forms within 3 business days after the event.

  • Forms close at 11:59 PM on the third business day.

  • Direct attendees to www.garid.org to self-report CEUs online.

  • This process operates on the honor system.

  • Falsifying information constitutes a violation of the RID Code of Professional Conduct and may result in disciplinary action.

  • Once evaluations are processed, GaRID will email a Certificate of Attendance to each participant.
