Stephanie Boyd,
Vice President

Stephanie grew up in a small town outside of Birmingham , Alabama .  Stephanie’s post-secondary education includes a brief run at the University of Montevallo , but ultimately she received a BSED in Physical Education and Health from the University of Georgia (UGA) in 1996.  Upon graduation from UGA, Stephanie began teaching in the metro Atlanta area and also enjoyed coaching several different sports throughout her teaching career.

Desiring a change, in 2001 Stephanie enrolled in the Sign Language Interpreting Program (SLIP) at Georgia Perimeter College (GPC).  During her time at GPC, Stephanie was actively involved in the Interpreter Training Society (ITS), serving as Secretary during her first year and as President during the second.  One of the fondest memories she has of that time period is attending Deaf Way II in Washington , DC in 2002.  Stephanie completed the SLIP in 2003 having already obtained state interpreting credentials, and followed that accomplishment in 2004 by achieving her CT.    Stephanie currently lives in Conyers with her husband and 3 children and works in various settings as a freelance interpreter.

In what little free time she has, Ginny enjoys her pet Greyhound (and promoting Greyhound adoption), as well as improving her green thumb in the garden.  Ginny says she has been “married a reeeeaally long time to Tom,” and is the proud MODA (mom of two Deaf young men) to Matt and Andrew.
